Bangkok’s newly-revamped Museum Siam is hosting a permanent exhibition that invites visitors to explore various aspects of the Thai character – or Thainess as they style it – to understand just what makes the country and its people tick. The exhibition, Decoding Thainess, features 14 areas detailing perspectives of Thailand’s historical, architectural, traditional, culinary and clothing perspectives, amongst others. It’s all presented using advanced technology and hands-on interactive storytelling methods tailored to the needs of modern social media generations, that encourages visitors to think ahead by capturing stories of the past. The fun-filled show is expected to draw more than 500,000 visitors in 2018.
